Securing America’s Future and Sovereignty | From the Dispath on Power and Duty

On January 20, a national emergency was declared at the United States' southern border. This proclamation signifies a dramatic shift from the previous administration's immigration policies, aiming to address what the President describes as an "invasion" compromising national sovereignty and public safety.

President Trump's declaration emphasizes the urgent need to combat the influx of cartels, criminal gangs, terrorists, human traffickers, and illicit narcotics entering through the southern border. To counter these threats, the administration has outlined several key initiatives. This move emphasizes the administration's commitment to utilizing all available resources to achieve complete operational control. The proclamation mandates the immediate construction of additional physical barriers along the southern border. This initiative aims to deter unauthorized crossings and enhance the effectiveness of border security measures. In a significant policy reversal, President Trump has revoked Proclamation 10142, issued on January 20, 2021, which terminated the previous national emergency at the southern border and redirected funds away from border wall construction. This action reinstates the emergency status and reallocates resources to bolster border infrastructure.

The current administration's approach is the opposite of the policies implemented over the past four years. The Democrat party will take a long time to recover, if they can, from this loss of potential voters and agents of chaos. Upon taking office in 2021, President Joe Biden issued several executive orders to reform immigration practices. These policies were falsely presented as a shift toward a more humanitarian approach, emphasizing the integration and inclusion of illegals. However, this approach resulted in unintended consequences for the average American while benefiting the Democrat Party.

The term "invasion" carries significant weight in legal and constitutional contexts. The use of this word was no mistake. Applying this term to non-military entities, such as terrorist organizations or organized crime groups, is subject to interpretation. Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution states: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion." While the framers of the Constitution envisioned foreign military threats when drafting this clause, modern interpretations have occasionally extended the concept to include non-state actors whose actions threaten national security. This expanded definition underpins the Trump administration's justification for its emergency declaration, framing the influence of cartels and human traffickers as an assault on American sovereignty.

Local communities along the southern border have experienced the strain of surging migration of illegals, with hospitals, shelters, and law enforcement often overwhelmed by the demands of responding to the needs of new arrivals. Cities like El Paso, Texas, and Yuma, Arizona, have seen their resources stretched thin with no support from the Biden Administration. Leading to growing concerns among residents about safety and sustainability. The lack of enforcement emboldened cartels and traffickers, who exploited gaps in border security to expand their operations.

This approach is viewed as a necessary corrective measure to the leniency of the Biden Administration, creating a permissive environment that not only encouraged illegal immigration but also facilitated the activities of criminal networks. Advocacy groups and humanitarian organizations oppose the renewed focus on physical deterrence and militarization. This could be related to the funding they received from the Biden Administration to help support and facilitate the invasion.

Immigration has long been a contentious issue in American politics, serving as a litmus test for broader debates about identity, sovereignty, and the role of government. President Trump’s proclamation will likely galvanize his supporters while intensifying Democrat Party and Globalist opposition who view the measures as excessive or counterproductive.

The immigration issue requires a balanced approach that prioritizes security and compassion, enforcing laws while respecting human dignity and addressing pressing challenges. For too long, the unchecked migration of undocumented individuals has overwhelmed the United States, creating an unmanageable influx that complicates organized responses. As a Republic founded on the principles of freedom and opportunity, the United States will always serve as a beacon of hope, attracting people from around the world. We welcome those who arrive through lawful means, reflecting the values and priorities of the American people.
